                Seems like a decent peice. The scabbard has taken a handful of hits.....I wouldnt pay a penny more.

                        That is a very fair price for a brass hilt example of the Eickhorn Field Marshal series Officersabel Nr. 1693 "WRANGEL" ...

                        With brass grip wire.

                          I'm not one for extensive cleaning and polishing of the various edged weapons, but I would recommend, in this case, that if you do buy this sword, you clean the green verdigris patina from the brass. It is a form of corrosion. Try a light sudsy ammonia mix with a soft tooth brush and go easy.. Then maybe a little Renwax or quality gun oil on those spots.

                            Hi Mike,
                            Thanks for the advice. If all goes well, Ill have this in my hands by this afternoon. We will see. Ill keep you guys updated
