I forgot to add the story. In this case it was easy not to buy the story as there was no fancy intriguing event leading to the capture of the sword.
They guy I bought it from got it when his grandmother passed away. It had been his grandfather's who did not serve during the war but had it given to him by a friend. The guys wife was not comfortable with it in the house and when they got out the Christmas tree from storage they came across the sword again and his wife asked him to get rid of it...end of story.LOL!Comment
