I am not a "dagger guy", but I really enjoy this dagger. I think it's a Hungarian Air Force officer's dagger??? It, to me, shows beautiful craftmanship. It's wonderfully echted on the obverse of the blade with a gold shield and other designs. On the reverse of the blade, I think it's the officer's name engraved with 1942, presentation date, but I can translate it??? Help!
There are wonderful mm's with what looks like the Hungarian shield, maker's name and the number 11, which is also on top of the scabbard. The scabbard, to me is just beautifully crafted as well.
Not knowing daggers, any input you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for you help!
