I got a call to help go through about 15 foot lockers of a retired US LTC that were abonded in a storage facility in the 1970s. Most of the items were either ruined or junk, but these were tucked in the bottom of one of the foot lockers. I do not have that much experience with TR, so can someone help give fair values on these?
The first is a late war Luftwaffe officers dagger with portepee and hangers. The grip is white plastic over wood and has several craks in it. The scabbard looks like a silvered model with aluminum fittings, which has turned brown over time. The blade has the last Alcosan sideways maker marks. The blade has nice crossgrain but does has some age stains where the runners rested, as well as some light rusting on the TM.
