Having a hard time with the photos, is the upper crossguard fitting plated?

If you notice the discolouration of the rondel and the condition of the upper fitting, and possibly the side of the handle in this area, it appears to me that it has been exposed to high heat or moisture, (I am thinking heat).

Yes the upper crossguard is plated, the bottom is not. Thank you all for your opinions. I am interested in selling this item, how much do you guys think I can get for it??

            Hi,

This dagger looks as a partsdagger to me.

            a few reason 's why:

            upper-x-quard and tangnut are plated.

            Scabbard fittings are also plated.

Missing roman number on lower x quard.

I would like to see a better close-up of the TM.

            R.

              I concur with Reingold.

IMO, also the grip shows evidence of sanding to fit particularly on the lower grip to crossguard fit.

No question....it's a "parts piece". -Sorry-

Problem is the "parts" are mixed and not good condition either.

                      Hi
Yes, $450, I am sure if you had it that's what you'd sell it for. I truly doubt it.

Here is a prime example why so few ever what to comment on someone asking value, especially on a POS.

So you know what it's worth then .... WHY IN the *%@$ DO you ask?

                            True, price estimates are subjective.
I would say low $700 to high $1,100, more pics would be needed to determine which is the more likely.

As wags said, the grip especially appears to have been modified ,,, On the rear shot, the portion that meets the cross guard looks to be painted a flat black, presumably in order to cover up evidence of sanding.
