shaped bayo frog

Hi forum and good day.
Has any one come across this before??
It has been shaped at about 15 degrees and is solid.
Anyone got an opinion.

I think it's just warped. It happened to me once when a frog got wet, placed it in the sun to dry and came out like yours. If you want to be sure, count the stitches either side, if they are the same, it's warped, if there are fewer on the right, it was made this way...

I have a number of such frogs on dress bayonets with similar albeit not as severely bent. I always believed the bend was a result of wear as it seemed to always go from the front to the back, like yours.

thank you for your comment but imo this was done period because you can not in no way take the scabard out of the frog its to bloody hard.
