ive never seen a para knife with ss runes before, and although im no dagger expert, i wouldnt think its a period stamping,imo

Ive owned about 20-30 paras and have some nice ones.. If it was me I wouldnt bother with it. The SS marks are a BIG no. no...

I am very sure they are post war added. hence ruining a decent para.

The fact the string is broken doesnt help either. It costs about 100-150 to repair them and you still have a para with a replacment spring (parts knife)

Unless its GIVEN to you for nothing.. I wouldnt bother with it.. It will be hard to move later...

I admittedly have little experience with para knives but for what it's worth I don't like that runes stamp. Looks too conveniently placed there to tart it up for some unsuspecting collector to get stung with IMHO.
