    One To Watch

I'm posting this at a few forums.

This piece is on eBay. I have never seen anythign like this. Claims to be an Eickhorn. It looks BAD all the way around.

Not the grip is a 2 part, fused plastic grip, with the mid line running the length of the grip. Looks at how terrible the etched Ekchorn TM is.

I have NEVER seen anything like this. Perhaps it's a new generation of Chinese fakes?? I don't know. I can tell you I would never bid on this. It's one to watch and see where this one, and other go. I'm nearly certain this piece is 100% garbage. It could easily be a new generation of garbage coming out of the orient.

Don't miss out on this ultra rare Eickhorn

Way to many photos. Here's the link to photos:

A peer from another forum confirmed this is Chinese. I figured so much.

It's safe to say they are getting better, but still quite terrible. Even the less atoot collector can recognize these as bad.

Ed- it's a super rare example of the newly discovered saber from the Eickhorn "field marshal" series. Nr #000, the "Prinz Poopin'".

              Bill my friend-
Heheeee... It's junk, garbage, rubbish, trash, detritus, rot, poo-poo, dung, and so on. That being said, if someone was selling these for $25, i'd buy one. I'd like to take it apart and see how this particular rubbish is assembled. It's a significant step up from the bideous y-betty "cat-heads" which have been coming out of Asia for the last 10 years.

I've also included a few other photos of the killer etch, and super hi-quality Eichorn TM.

Can anyone make out what is written down the length of the blade? It looks Russian to me (?).

The sword is defenetely Boulgarian Royal. The inscription on the blade is "FOR THE KING AND FATHERLAND" , and on the reverse we can see /as much as possible/ the cipher of bulgarian king BORIS III

Are you suggesting the saber is a period Bulgarian piece? Or suggesting the piece is a reprodution Bulgarian piece? Either way, I am certain, Eichorn did not produce the blade. The TM would never have passed Eickhorn Quality control.

Anyway, for those interested, here are some additional photos of the blade inscription. I saved about 15 images of the thing for reference purposes. Also, a fellow collector has said that he's seen a number of these lately.
