    Luft Dagger 2nd model

    Hey fellas,

I'm looking at this dagger. Its a 2nd model luft dagger. The handle looks good, and the blade looks good to me. Until you get to the eagle cross guard. Is it a fake? I looked through this forum and cant find anything about this ugly eagle. Should I pass?

    THanks

    Hello,
Looks good to me i see nothing wrong, it has the aluminum finish with dark background. I cannot remember the maker these are seen with i'll have to look it up in wittmanns book. If you can get a picture of the top side scroll work of the crossguard it would help. Is the blade maker marked.

        the seller says it's unmarked.

Here is a picture from them.. I think this is what you're asking for.

I think it's a nice looking dagger. It has a tiny chip just under the pommel but the grip is a real looker and I like that wire. The guard is just fine. Many of these nonmaker marked daggers have some odd features but they are what they are. I think if you could buy this piece for around $350-$450 you would be fine.

The Crossguard and Pommel are a Paul Weyersberg type.

Victorbaule is dead on... the crossguard w/ scroll & pommel i have seen on Weyersberg, That was my first thought just was not sure. Even at $450. - $550. your still doing good.

i like the pumkin grips, and its a nice 2nd luft, and not a bad price.

Maybe it was original a more plain grey coated crossguard and pommel which has it been heavy cleaned right on the aluminium surface?
