Opinion on 44 fnj S98 bayonet, wooden grips

I would like to ask for your opinion on S98 44 fnj
What are your thought on this bayonet?

I found that previously was discussed earlier version with bakelite grips:

While this one has a wooden one:

    bayonet

I think that your bayonet may have been rebuilt post war. The original flashguards [the metal piece that runs along the top of the grips] were not checkered as the one on your bayonet is. The grips may or may not be original. They would have to be removed to see if there are any markings on them.

      Thank you for the comment.
Blade looks oryginal, code letters are the same as on the other fnj bayonets, here is one from www.bayonets.com

What do you think about waffenamts?

Flashfuard checkered - any idea who could added such type and when?

I have seen some time ago WKC bayonet with same/similar flashgouard, the bayonet was in a Czech frog.

Can it be post-war Czech rework ?

From members opivion the checkered flashguard was linked to east Germany rework.

          Thank you very much.

Here is one similar bayonet (similar flashguard):

Do you know any other references to East German rework.

I couldn't find them on this forum.
