Do you mean an original? because I don't think there is an original counterpart of this probably Spanish made thing.

I don't think a real SS honour dagger will show up here. If i was a rich man and I had the luck to find and buy an original one I would put it in a safety case and certainly not show it to the whole world. If you see them in books usually you find "Private collection" below the picture

Hi Luca, these repros have been around a long time, I believe they are early Spanish made. They are actually pretty well made, but nowhere near a period piece.

Here's a few of the same vintage as yours, they turn up on eBay etc from time to time. They are seen as SS & SA Honour, chained NSKKs and standard M33s...

Gary, thanks a lot for your help.
Definitly a repro, I would say the same one but is there an original to compare out there ?
                    Thanks again and Theo too

To repeat what has already been said, original Damascus SS Honor Daggers are so rare that you are likely only to see photos in reference books. Those fortunate enough to own one will likely not post photos here. I only know of two Forum Members who own SS Honor Daggers. One visits a lot but seldom, if ever, posts here.

There are always a couple at the MAX Show, but the owners - understandably - are not keen on anyone taking photos that would provide much detail.

I don't know if the hilt and blade are postwar but the hilt fittings should be oakleave enhanced to go with this scabbard. In addition, the scabbard is wrong. The fittings on these type of daggers are integral to the shell and cannot be removed. The scabbard screws to retain the fittings are a giveaway.

I don't have an original but the one I have is close to the original. There is only one scabbard screw to hold the throat in place.
                        The blade is postwar.
