I have no problem with this grip. Maybe some were -at a certian point in production- made with the intention to keep the small pommel neck in mind. But i'm sure that would not be always the case.

Reverse grip top area showing the lighter color and grip top.

I've never seen such kind of grip and pommel fit.

Could you post a shot from the top-side?
