    Bayonet question

Were WWI bayos ever pressed into service with WWII frogs?

    #2
I believe is possible as only 20 years between the two largest conflicts were, to sample i have a US P17 that was used with 1940 marked british frog as Home defence in lend and lease program. Some of the long US M1905 bayonets were shortened in WW2 and used in M1 format. For second line units it was certainly. The germans used too older SG84/98 and SG98/05 mainly by police and second line units.

The width of WWI scabbards was much wider than those produced during WWII. Result is early ones will not fit in later ones. Try it and you will break all the stitching holding it together.
