Unfortunately there is a chip missing from the grip.

Nice sword in spite of the chip. A strategically placed portepee would probably conceal the chip

Decent Puma example. Angolia list as unattributed however it does have a corresponding Nr. I'd have to look through my saved period reference to dig it up. I don't want to furnish incorrect info.

Clearly it's a later, aluminum hilted example, illustrated by both the high luster hilt gilting, the bare spots where gilt is missing, and corresponding aluminum grip wire (not always indicative of aluminum hilts keep in mind) with the always attractive flat knuckle bow. The celluloid grip chips and cracks can be repaired with a gentle touch, and can be accomplished quite well with substances like JB Weld. Just put some serious thought into it before attempting to repair it or not. That spot on the upper portion of the grip is very prone to damage from the various elements, expansion, and subsequent contraction from temp change, etc.

Nice piece overall and makes a fine display example.
