    This might help a bit. Here is the scabbard which came with the famous reproduction with maker mark "Holler, Berlin" and you know what that means!

      I don't think the Spanish fakes will fool anyone, they are easy to spot.

      I have to say I still see no red flags on the scabbard Wags has shown, the first dagger at the start of the thread is obviously similar to post-war style naval bands... Here is an example of another Eick GO scabbard next to Wagner's, I still don't see all these obvious red flags.

        Wittmann decribed a similar KM scabbard (hammered type) with this typical eyelet in hus KM dagger book. According to him this was an early version of the Eickhorn scabbard and also found on some of theire gouvernment daggers...

          RK, good points but I agree with Gary and wags, I see nothing wrong with this dagger either,like you said these are all hand finished and no two are the same. As far as fake ageing and patina I don't buy it. I have seen quit a few scabbard band like this and others that are also different that were right out of the woodwork. Actually there is one like this on Bill S. site. Cheers...Jeff
