Tim, these never actually existed in the TR era. They are a complete fantasy piece. They have been around for a long time, a lot of new collectors have been taken in by these.

Yes, they are common, they have been floating around flea markets and gun shows for many years. They are cheap to produce, so there seems to be no end to them.

These were actually reproduced on a real indian version of a knife made in india, and its well known these fake nazi versions ..are still boning people , and willl for decades to come. I dont have a photo to show of the indian made knife i have, but it has a real blade in it at least, and is larger in size than this fantasy piece, has the lock down catch but a lot different and even better made with a real blade ...as the blade in this fantasy piece is such poor quality i dont think it will even hold an edge.

Might make a good fishing knife.... Oh...it would constitute a felony in California if carried around...so scratch that idea

Nobody carries knives in CA, You gotta be able to out range your adversary... when in OakTown

Oakland does have an interesting university where that out ranging your adversary concept wouldnt be necessary, and could put on the back burner. Its oaksterdam university, i saw the story on cable about it the other evening, and in times of no jobs might just fit the bill for some peope out there to get a degree at for home employment . Just thought id mention that when oak city was mentioned. I suspect you were referring to oakland?(cal) I believe a double edge knife over 3 inches in blade length is illegal in cal, but can you even consider this a real knife, as i said the things lucky to even be a good letter opener??
