Leather looks correct, & original; with silver plated fittings on a nice early sword.

Jon, the leather looks not only original, but also in excellent condition. Usually the grip leather shows more wear on the ribs. Yours is very nice.

I agree. Considering the deep silver patina and the wonderful leather this is a first class Sword!!!

Everthing looks fine with this fliegerschwert. Nickel-silver fittings look great and the Morroccan blued leather is very good shape. Looks to be a nice example.
