    K98 bayonet help please

I got this from my friend and fellow forum member Jan. It is a K98 bayonet marked Paul Weyersberg & CO Solingen. It has not date and there are no waffenants on it at all. I own several bayonets but have never seen such markings on the K98 bayonet. Other side marked 4409 and scabbard is totally void of any markings also. Is this some sort of prototype blade or for another branch of service? Is this one just another common one? Thanks all, hope the pics help!

Could be an early S84 with re-arsenaled grips, but no markings on spline? It could be a factory sample also possibly but why then the serial #?. Maybe just a ww2 police issue. Is there any trace of bluing on the blade?
