    k98 maker mark

i have a k98 bayonet with maker mark W.K.C. on the blade. What is the name of that manufacturer? The hilt doesnt have any proofs on it. I cant get the bakelite grips off either due to stripped bolt. Sorry no pics (lost the plug in cord).

    thanks for you help, doug

You have there probably a commercial production of Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Company, Solingen. best regards,Andy

so this isnt wartime?........maybe late war because of the lack of proof marks?

If it´s Police, the back of the blade is marked with an eagle.

Ther´re also other organisations, this "commercial´s" has been used like Postal, railway-protection, RAD, custom´s, SS, ...

Hello , Your piece looks like a late war blanko, but the grips were probably changed, best regards,Andy
