In general terms the "hanger" is the device that suspended a dagger from the belt or uniform. There are almost as many types of hangers as daggers. In the case of an HJ knife, there's really not a lot to define as the "hanger" in comparison to other Third Reich daggers.

Political

Political daggers such as SA (brown) and SS (black) have this type. The hanger is the top piece. Below that is a belt loop.
