Trench/Fight Knife with embeded Luft eagle

Hey Guys,

I thought I'd show a few pictures of this Luftwaffe Fight knife I recently picked up, which has an embedded Luftwaffe eagle in the grip. I know it can't really be proved to be an war time addition, but it looks like an honest used piece. It is salty and shows signs of lots of sharpening, it also has a "K" carved into the handle, kind of a neat and unique piece.

Does anybody know what the Luftwaffe eagle is from?

If you look at the patina of this knife. The small eagle may have been there many years. Thats my opinions of your knife .

Hi Rylan,

Interesting piece you have there. I agree with Reibert, that looks like a Long Service ribbon device. As you say you will never know that it was added pre May 45 but then who is to say it wasn't. I'm sure it will go well with your Luft group.
