    DAK bayonet or fake?

    Guys,
Here is another one. I have a guy who's father fought in North Afrika and he is trying to sell off some of his Dads stuff. The problem is he also used to collect and I think some stuff may have been "confused" as to stuff he bought and his Dad brought back. I am also not an absolute expert on DAK stuff but there are a few things that bother me about this. One the paint on the scabbard and the wear second the scabbard does not have any serial #'s infact the only mark is a triangle with what looks like an "M" in it. What do you guys make of this? The bayonet fits perfectly into the scabbard and the bayonet is almost mint. It also has a tropical frog which I am attaching photos of. Also if real what value do you feel it holds?
Thanks for all your expertise guys!
    Kevin

                Kevin,

It is a mismatched German S84/98 bayonet made in 1938 in what appears to be a Polish scabbard. This green paint is the normal color for pre-war Polish scabbards of this style.

Like Schupo corectly mentioned a nice probably WZ.28 scabbard on a unknown maker 1938 piece? Could You provide more info about the producer? The frog looks nice, but maybe other members could confirm it. best regards,Andy
