    Fair point Mike, I"m just putting a little faith into the seller saying it moves. I'm really only interested in the diamond as I'd like to see it close up if it has the correct mounting pins. It could still be a geniune late diamond fitted into bogus plates. I don't really care for anything else from what is shown here.

        well im going to buy it as it might be a good educational tool for people to dissect.hell its only £25 and if its fake it will help others to spot things.
        when it arrives ill put some decent pics of it up.

          That's a lot of money for a repro HJ knife, but I commend your efforts. Before you shell out your hard earned wages condsider this:

          There is enough photos in the WAF threads to dissect how a correct quillion should point and what is a correct blade lozenge shape in addition to the scabbard basics. With a small amount of study most of us should be able to spot these type from a distance at a show or with poor photos and avoid 75% of the fakes.
