Sword and portepee ??

Hello,
I know nothing about german swords but I picked up this one this morning on a fleamarket.
I cannot even be sure about its originality but it really shows a nice patina and the price was pretty cheap (what I assume). From what I see, no marking.
Could anyone give me his opinion about it ?

Your sword looks like a perfectly original standard style of Heer Officier sword with the proper Portepee. Not much more to say if there is no maker mark on the blade. A nice sword.

Original to me. Pretty lucky purchase not being familiar with German swords and all those discusting Chinese fakes.

Looks like a Richard Herder pattern. Try page 86 of Angolias book "Swords of Germany".

In todays market in the U.S. I'd guess around $350- $375. Personally I wouldn't pay more than $300.
