    SS/SA Grip Eagle

Forgive this rookie question ... is this eagle correct? I've never seen the back side of one before, but I thought they had two thin prongs to attach to the grip. I don't have any experience with these, except to say that the eagle heads and necks on the one SA and one SS dagger that I have don't look like this.

    Thanks,
    Greg

Looks like a cast repro. On the rear shot it looks like the RZM marking on the left wing did not cast completely.

      Hmm

Definitely a repro. Lacks the clarity and detail I would like to see. The back is all wrong too.

          Agreed...a cast reproduction.

The originals did indeed have two prongs on the reverse and the post 1936 examples were actually marked with the manufacturer's RZM code (I discovered that when I was doing photos for my book in 1986 and couldn't freakin' believe they were that anal)
