Luftwaffe question

Hi

A friend of mine has a Luftwaffe 1937, it looks ok but the svastika on the crossguard is glided. i have never seen glided crossguards svastikas on any 1937 luftwafffe dagger
does anyone knows why its glided (painted in gold)

Do you mean the swastika in the end of the handle?
If so it should be in gold.
But it is often worn of.

Om du menar hakkorset längst bak på handtaget dvs den runda knoppen så var det guldfärgat original.
Men oftast är denna förgyllning inte kvar.

Sorry i maybe dont read your first post but if its the first LW dagger it should have a gold Swastika as well at the pommel
