    Hunting dagger?

Recently I bought a hunting dagger from a friend whose father liberated it during the war. I have known of this dagger for many years and am positive of the story behind it. I am trying to find out more information about it. Unfortunately I don't have an operating camera at the moment but will try to describe it in hopes that someone may have seen one similar to this one. It has a stag handle with 3 acorns inset into it. The pommel nut is fashioned to look like a nut. The blade is 16 inches long and on one side has a deer and what looks to be a hound and fox and then some trees and 2 deer (one stag and one doe) etched into it. The other side (the front) has a hunter, 2 deer (again a stag and a doe) and some trees and some nice intricate designs etched into it. The makers mark is a balance scale with A and C on the top and S centered in the bottom between the two baskets of the scale. I know I'm grasping at straws here but maybe someone has such a dagger in their collection and can tell me something about it. Thank you.

Robert..one of the hunting daggers in the last site you provided has engraving that is identical to what I have. Did the Alcoso mark sometimes not have the words "Alcoso" and Solingen beside the scale? Thanks for the help!

If you have 3 acorns on the grip then you have an Alcoso Forestry hirschfänger, Alcoso used a few different trade marks, if yours has just the scales with ACS then yours would be fairly early in the 3rd Reich period or possibly late Weimar, pictures at sometime would be helpful to assertain it's date of manufacture, condition etc, it's value would depend upon these factors.
