Need expert advice about an Army dagger

Recently I have aquired an Army dagger and need a 2nd opinion about it, the grip is made of plastic material, no mark on blade. Sorry about photo quality.

Nothing in the photos gives me cause for concern...looks okay to me.

It looks like most of the plating/finish is gone from the crossguard. Can you confirm that?

Hai Skip, thanks for your interest, I can't appreciate if the plating is gone or if the crossguard is as is. So I can conclude is an original period dagger? Do you have any idea about from which maker can be? Thanks again

Yes, it appears to be an original dagger, or at least made of original parts.

I can't offer any thoughts as to the maker...sorry!

These are very good news to me! Thanks again Skip, I rerally appreciate your interest. I'm new to this hobby, this is my first dagger and I'm plenty of questions: there's a way to recognise the maker, I mean are the ornamentation details the difference between different makers? I suppose that I have to bey any specialised book about the matter, isn't it? By the way i have paid 400$ more or less (300€) is a good price?
The same person who sell it to me have offered another dagger: a 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger, if you can give me an opinion I'll be grateful to you. It has a wooden grip, and fits very loose in the scabbard (an age consecuence?) The portpee is not original, the owner told me is from the RDA stocks, the maker mark is from Rich A Herder, it's OK?

That x-guard come pretty close to a Herder or Anton Wingen.

I didn't notice before...

but there's a maker mark in the blade, I don't notice it because is worn away, seems like the blade has been polished. I have checked with some references on the net and seems to match with Carl Gustav Spitzer, the marks says: C Gustav Spitzer - Solingen and the lion figure in the middle.
thanks a lot to Juoneen for the crossguards reference page, but the 'Spitzer' place is empty and the crossguard don't seems to match with the other makers, so I'm thinking that I got an answer for one of my questions: which maker? Gentlemen, dou you think is allright with the mark?

After a 2nd look I think you're very right, seems to be of the Wingen 2nd & Herder variant, as the description in the reference page says 'it was used by virtually all companies except the larger ones' so it can be right for this dagger to be a 'Sptizer' itsn't? what do you think about the maker's mark I post?
