    my SA dagger

Hi, I usually hang out in the imperial forum but I thought I might
post my SA. It's nothing special but would like some opinions.
    Thanks,
    Greg

I like your SA dagger, Greg!

Am about to get my first this week.

Looks like a mid-period piece that has experienced some pitting to the blade which hurts it a bit. One thing to check is the scabbard to crossguard fit.

The reason I mention it, is normally 1938 daggers have painted scabbards and yours looks anodized with nickel silver fittings. A good fit would rule out a scabbard switch and then it might likely be just using up old parts in manufacture process.

Thank you for your comments on my dagger.

I do not beleive the scabbord is original to the dagger. I took it to a
gun show and showed it around ( trying to trade up ) One of the dealers
said the scabbord was wrong. I also asked about it being a "parts"
dagger and was told that everything looked good about the knife. So
I asume that the scabbord was added to boost the price when I bought
              it.

              Any thoughts?

              Thanks again for your help.
