    HJ Grip Diamond colors

Hello, I know this is a dumb question, but hear goes, while checking out some HJ daggers I noticed some grip diamonds are gold around the swastika & some are silver around the swastika. Both colors are on ww2 HJ daggers. Any help on this. . Go easy guys.

    Thanks Dale B.

Dale, as far as im concerned, both are good and the difference is that its discoloration with the years. But be careful though, because VERY silver surroundings might be a red flag to spot a post war diamond, although these fakes are usually very obvious when you look at them.

The gold or yellow color that you see is just the copper based alloy which the diamond is made from. If the silvering is gone you only see the yellowish base metal .
