Havn't been hanging around much lately in the edged weapons section....and i've been having withdrawls .
Anyway, thought i'd share these 2 photos that illustrate photographic trickery. Often times we see sellers hilighting thier piece for sale with great pics...only to receive the piece and say, "is this the same badge, dagger, etc., that I bought"?
These 2 photos show the difference a decent photo can make. I don't have the fancy photographic equipment like some of our members so no matter how hard I try, my images are still going to be fair at best.
The 1st photo is using a dark background to draw out contrast, and the flash to give the edged of the EK that little sparkle.
The 2nd image is using unimpeded sunlight, with a white background. A clear difference.
I'd like to see some other photographic trickery abilities.
