im not too sure about translation on this , but after studying a bit of gothic script on an old wooden item a while ago i would think that R`deur is actually K`deur (kommandeur) and Gtab is actually Stab (staff) .
so we have partially
our staff commander of .....................................
ill work some more on this but im no translator , the crossguard appears to be Freiherr . von . Neveu i think family name or clan so to speak ...that crest on pommel is really neat and may prove important , the imperial crown above is from a family well before third reich but obviously a descendant serving in third reich .
no doubt somebody can work more on this

I Just Spoke To The Grandson Of The Officer Taht The Dagger Belonged .
Thanks To The Detective Work Of Mustang In England,I Found The Phone Number Of The Family In Question In Germany.I Spoke Earlier To The Grandson In Baden-wurttenburg Who Confirmed That His Grandfather Was The Original Owner Of This Dagger. The Grandfather Survived The War And Lived Until The Ripe Old Age Of 94.He Passed Away In 1987.The Grandson Said He Will Speak To His Father About Possible Photos Of The Grandfather In His Uniform. This Is What Makes Collecting A Wonderful and interesting Hobby. Thanks Again Stephen.
