German 1900 vintage scabbard ID help sought

Hi Mark,

I would say that the scabbard is for an S98.However,it looks like the metal piece on top of the scabbard,the topmount,where the frog stud is attached to,is backwards.You see a little hole above the frog stud,normally there should be a little screw,on the other side there will be 2 little holes were a metal thread should run to,just as the on the metal piece at the bottom of the scabbard,you see two little holes,but no metal thread.I hope you understand what I am trying to say,I can't post any pics,my membership is expired,I am sure someone will post a pic of an S98.

Jeremy is correct that this is a scabbard for the S98.
