    Hj Mm Q

I came across a HJ dagger which I believe to be the late model (RZM on the hilt) but curiously, it looks like there is one of the iconic symbols used by the makers on the opposite side of the blade hilt

My best guess is it looks like a person (with walking stick?) from the photo.

Is this unusual for HJ's of this model? I was under the impression, that at this stage, they were only using RZM.

Everything else about this dagger seems to check out, good rivets and swaz, handle and scabbard look fine and have 'the wear'.

    Thanks!

Scott, this is not un-common for this maker, Anton Wingen Jnr. The number should be RZM M7/51. The figure is a Knight dressed in armour with a sword. The knife looks fine to me.

        Thank you for your response.

Would that suggest it is uncommon at all?

        Much appreciated.

Wingen's are often seen in this configuration, so it is quite common. It is not rare if that's what you're trying to find out.

I wondered the same about the knife sold on the estand. Interesting marks, but they knives are just fine to me

Could you post a reverse photo?
