I have an opertunity to pick this one up for 900$. I have been told that even though this is not in exc. condtion that is a steal for an original ss dagger. any help appreciated. thanks

re-painted various times or by brush scabbard, I dont care too much for the lines of the grip, I dont like that the plating is completely gone off the crossguards and yet the plating on the re-painted scabbard is excellent.
I might just be me, but the center ridge of the blade seems a bit sharp. I would pass on it.

You show what appears to be a mid period M33 by WKC.
I agree with the others that it is, at best, a parts dagger.
I would ask yourself what it is that you want out of the purchase. A parts dagger in rough condition to use when re-enacting? Or do you intend to build a quality edged weapons collection? If the second then I would not buy it.

I agree that your decision with this should reflect your purpose for the dagger. I agree that it certainly isn't one to add to any serious dagger collection, and I would not want it myself, even for that price. However, some may say that there's enough value there in it's parts, if that should be your purpose. That's just my opinion.
