SA makers question

Hi,
I was at a small gun show this morning and one of the dealers
had a SA with a KKR makers mark on it. I think it said Karl Rob
Kaldenbach.

Is this a rare maker? The handle looked good and the blade was
nice however there were so file marks on the blade at the crossguard.
Almost as if the blade and handle were not from the same knife?

I am thinking about going back to get it depending on the opinions
I get here.

If the price is right, any early SA dagger is worth buying. Without more details and photos it would be difficult to give advice.

I do not have any photos.
The asking price was $400 which I think might be a bit high for
a blade with file marks on it.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
