      Jeremy,

      Your S98/05 sawback looks OK from what I can see. I think you are describing the logo of Dürkopp Werke A.G. in Bielefeld. which has a D within a triangle with rounded corners. They made sawbacks in 1916 according to Carter. Look on the spine of your blade and see if you can see a crowned W over 16.

          Yes,that is the loge as you described.There are some markings at the spine,but too fainted to make out what it is.On the edged side of the blade(is that called the spine to?)there appears to be an X or two crossed swords,and an F.
