Early SA dagger by rare maker

There not all that rare, it's a seven on McSarr. It is a very desirable makers mark. I own one and had a RAD EM with the horse head. Wish I had the RAD back.

2000 is very much.

I have a SA Albert Mebus only 1000 made. 9 on the rarity scala. anyway 1000 is much too. If we talk about 300-400 daggers its rare .
The marked overflood with SA daggers today. A collector can pick up the minty ones for a great price today.
But be aware out there. Some of the daggers for sales have re,-crossgainings off the blade.

Hi Kirk,

That's one fine SA you have there. My first was by the same maker but in nowhere near the condition of yours. Hard to say just where "rare" starts but at 7 on the McSarr it's certainly very desirable. As to value I'd say the better part of 1000 USD, maybe a little more to the type collector, but it's hard to say without a hands on inspection. There are a couple dozen on sale here...
