    A few Bayonets

    Hello everyone,

I would like to show you some of my bayonets. Only two are matching, the Clemen & Jung and the fnj. I wanted to ask about the one with the tan painted scabbard and the cloth & leather frog. You input on these items would be as always educational and helpful.

    Regards,
    Henry

Hello, very nice bunch of german 98k bayos, when possible please send here or to my PM details about the markings, serial numbers .Thanks.
The paint on scabbard could be Afrika "sandcolor" the frog looks like nice breadbag frog, typical for last war period. best regards,Andy

Great bayonets . They looks fine.

Your scabbard in the yellow are the "afrika" sand painting,- mention before of Andy.

I think the sandpaint is orginal. Take care of that scabbard

Andy the bayonets and scabbards are all waffenamp stamped. In the group photo I have marked the dates and makers. I will list the serial numbers:
                #1) 1660 #2) 9966 #3) 8084 #4) 7251 #5) 7496
                l b j c p

I do not see marking on the sandcolor painted scabbard they are under paint. Numbers 3 & 4 have matching scabbards. Only one of the frogs is marked but I can not make it out. These all came from veterans or flea market and yard sales.

                Regards,
                Henry

WaA253 should be on pommel.Thanks for claryfication.Andy

Andy that is correct. The waffenamps on the others look like: # 2) WA539
                    #3) WA518 #5) WA883

Number 5 (the far right), the Eickhorn, is in unissued condition, not a mark on the blade. It was coated in a red grease when I acquired it.

Could be 519 it is hard to read. The letter under the number on #1 is script type l

                              tropical camo bayonet

Thank you Jeremy. I would like to find a screw to replace the mission one on the grip of the 40 cof. A tropical frog would be nice for that one too.
