Paratrooper Knife???

I was told this was a german paratrooper knife, Used for cutting the cord, i know there are a bunch of fakes circulating, but i thought this was a neat knife anyways. have never seen this knife before so Your help would be great.

I think the knives that were used to cut the cords and those things, are called gravitiy knives. You can find plenty of info if you do a search on the forum.

No those paki's couldnt make a knife this good.

Either way it still is a neat old butterfly knife.

A member PM me and said it might be british, because it has Sheiff..as the beg of a makers mark. oh well not for this forum.

There were gobs of similar knives flogged off on the unknowing in the 70s.

Many had "genyoowine" SS or other markings on them.

Neat unit engraved "presentation" bayonets same period.

I gave up on this stuff 35 years ago.

It has no markings like that, i was just told that it was a german knife i was curious if it was or not. I got it in a lot with a few HJ daggers, so its no loss.
