    Gunshop Bayonet Find- A Beauty!

I went to my local gunshop today not expecting to find any militaria. But, In a display case I found this bayonet w/ scabbard. It is maker marked 41cvl. The bayo is stamped WaA883, while the scabbard is marked WaA88 on the ball tip. The grips are bakelite and it has not been sharpened.

I think that you'll agree that it is in great condition; The blueing is so nice the bayonet almost looks black! I couldn't pass it up for only $50. My first numbers-matching bayonet!

Let me know what you think!
    John

    P.S. CVL is WKC- Right?

A beauty! Too bad some nimrod used a sharp, pointy instrument to pry off the original frog at some point (marks on the front above the frog stud-maybe the vet when sending it home or later when it drys out??).
