I just want to share this Fliegerschwert which came privately from Luftwaffe Ace Guenther Rall.

To save questions about the orginality of the sword, a picture has been made with a dedication on the back by Guenther Rall: "Fuer Kevin mein Fliegerschwert fuer 14. Geburtstag" Signed; "Guenther Rall"

It is a rather special feeling to hold this historical piece in hands!

Did you acquire the fliegerschwert directly from Rall?

Having a sword from an ace the likes of Gunther Rall makes it quite a rare piece.

yes, it was directly acquired by a friend of mine from Rall. There are also some other items such as the gloves he wore during his 200th Abschuss, a U.S.A.A.F. silk escape map (he got from a U.S. pilot and is signed by him) and some photo's with a dedication from him. I'll try to post one later as it is a nice photo of his plane with markings nr. "5".
