Can You help me with this motto? I'm not sure it is original so I would like to ask You for opinion.

Hi Piotr

Do you have pics of the complete dagger, including the grip and SA Motto? The Eickhorn Rohm has several very characteristic features, although this inscription bugs me a little...

Yes I have more photos, in my opinion it is original dagger with fake motto, but I can be wrong.

The dagger appears to be typical Eickhorn Rohm, sadly I do agree with your opinion on the dagger.

The motto appears to be redrawn, there a lot of character anomolies, added to which is the sharper blade spine which appears just above the maker mark. It appears that the blade was ground and the insription re-applied, who knows when though.

I agree with both of you.

It is odd how the signature side has perfect blackened etch, while the Alles fur Deutschland does not.

If this is indeed the case, I would feel the same way about this dagger as I do with any relic that has been tampered with for profit....
