Well a rare bird indeed the workmanship and hand fitting of the swazs on these is superb I can not remember the last time I have seen one of these for sale. I am guessing it should be in the 5k range? Shouldn’t the grip have a wire?

To Tom Kendall I at first thought the wire was missing but after some research found that it is correct without the wire. Would be suspicious if it had wire. Thanks for your comments Tomt

No wire is correct for this certain kind of daggers. There is a "wire" (cord) beneath the grip leather which causes the grip structure.

This is one of the better DLV's I've seen. Would place value at close to 7K.

Holy Moly what a dagger! I just took a look and what a great condition! The only thing that kind of has me scratching my head is the panels on the blade look fairly 'rounded'. Was that standard on these, is it the pictures, or am I having an off day?

Hi Josh I have a feeling the lighting is doing something to exaggerate the rounding. I have had several long-time collectors examine this one and none have mentioned any problem with the blade except for some of the discoloration. Tom
