    What is this sword?

Hi, I was first wondering what this sword was? Is this original? Also if original, what might it be worth?

    Thanks Ahead

        ouch.
I did not know about these new fakes.
I just am not keeping up with the times.Though a close look at them would warn me off, still , good to be warned.
Military man, thanks for sharing this new addition.

I didn't intend to sound harsh. That certainly was not my motive.

Onto the swords. I have yet to see a convincing army repro. A couple of sabers came up that were discussed, utlimately the concensus was that they were real. One in particular I recall was regarded as a potentially repro Voos, or perhaps a parts saber. In the end, we decided it was more likely a manufacturing error and somehow slipped out past quality control (reversed national socialist symbol, etc.).
These Chinese fantasy, horrid creations have significant shortcomings, thankfully. I think army sabers may stay on the off limits list for awhile simply because of the 200 plus varients available, not to mention the cost, labor and levels of craftsmanship involved with making a convincing reproduction. I guess only time will tell. If I come accross an even remotely convincing reproduction, the forums will be the first to know.

The nose on the "lions head" looks like one on a pig. Maybe this sword will become known as the typical pig-snout fake

            Regards
