Need Help with SA Dagger

A friend of mine did buy this SA dagger last week from an auktion,but he do have some concerns about the originality,I dont know much about the daggers,but I do see some red flags,so I do understand his concerns,I will post some photos for him,so please go ahead and give some opinions.

The crossguards appear to be solid nickel replacements.

Agree, they look nickle silver on the pics. Are there any markings inside the crossguards?

my friend tells me that there isnt any markings inside the crossguards.
I know he has become a member at this Forum now,so I guess he can give more information about this dagger.

If the crossguards are plated, not solid nickle silver (alpacca), then it's allright.
