I recently ran across a sword I believe was German Imperial. Of course I didn't have my camera, so I will try to describe it as best I can.
The sword was a short curved type(dragoon/cav?) with a "P" handle. The handle was plain, no lion's head, etc. The grip I believe was leather with wire wrapping. No maker along side the blade(un-etched/engraved-just plain), but on the top edge was a crown "W" 13 (stacked on top of each other). The scabbard had markings near the hilt of 1871, and M1871 with looked like engraving or stamps of initials. The overall finish is solid, good shape, robust construction. I know a picture is better, but any initial ideas until I can get a meeting again to get pictures?
