    Unissued Labelled SA Dagger

My friend has just acquired an SA un-issued - Still with paper label on handle - Maker 123 - Dagger.
(I will get a picture up later when going round to see it)

Authenticated by a few dealers & in Impeccable condition.....

Anyone heard of such condition daggers with labels on before?

Great to hear back from you....

    Regards
    Dan

Have heard of them/seen them in the collections of the older collectors who bought them up to the 60's & 70's before they nearly all dissapeared.
Really looking forward to the pictures.

These were looted out of manufacturers or distributors unsold stocks as the various cities were liberated. They primarily appeal to the condition freaks as they were never owned or used. Nice to look at but they don't have that "been there seen that" appeal to many of us.

You will find them with a rectangular paper around the neck of the grip like Tano's dagger and with triangle shaped paper. As far as I know and have seen in advanced collections they all have the later nikkel plated zinc fittings. Very often these daggers are really in a mint condition however often there will be some minor losing of the plating on the erea were the plating makes contact with the wood. They are very beautiful IMO but they can't bead a nice, preserved early nikkel silver dagger!
