        K98 bayonet

        Hi,
I see no problem with the bayonet except repainting, I have a 43 ASW and it has wooden grips. Anyone know when they went back from bakelite to wooden grips. Mismatched bayonets arent worth that much so unless it was very cheap I would look for an untouched example.
        cheers Robert

As already mentioned what looks like a postwar gray phosphate (Parkerized) finished bayonet which has some other issues as well. As also mentioned it’s mismatched. And has the early black Bakelite grips (in well used condition) instead of wood grips - with the late war reddish Bakelite showing up at or near the end of production for this maker in 1943. FP
