Japanese WW2 sword????

I know absolutely nothing about these swords,so I hope someone could give me some help here.

Is this a genuine WW2 sword?

While I have a very limited knowledge of Japanese swords, I see several things the give me concerns. I'm going to copy this thread into the Japanese Militaria section where you will probably get more responses.

I have always considered these as reproductions made in China. I have seen these on ebay. It is not a Japanese made WWII sword.
